I also collect adjustable spanners. I have about 25 in my collection all picked up for no more than 3 pounds at boot sales. oldest I have is Circa 1885 and is American.

GB579210A was marketed in the U.S. as UTILEX; since that is forged into the handle I suspect those sold in Britain & Canada would be the same.
